On to Beaufort....

We left Wrightsville Beach and sailed out into the Atlantic Ocean at 7:30 PM with 5 other boats heading north to Beaufort/Morehead City to arrive at low tide around 9 AM the next morning.
Upon arriving in Beaufort we continued onto Oriental via the ICW and arrived a little before 2PM. Both of us were tired and decided to anchor in the little harbor of Oriental Yacht Club. We finally, after trying several times got the anchor down in deeper water out in the channel and Don rested up. We took Pixie to shore and settled down for a delicious chicken dinner. Sue hasn't been able to find chicken in the Bahamas for less than $16 to $18 for three breasts and was happy to find Perdue's for a reasonable rate.
