Home for Christmas
22 December 2009 | Rockford, IL USA
Wow, how time flys when you're having fun! The Glennys are stateside! We secured Kairos in Palau and flew to Rockford, Illinois to be with our family for Christmas. It is quite the adjustment to go from 85 degrees in the tropics to 15 degrees, snow, ice, and downright cold Great Lakes weather! My marrow is frozen!
Abbey and I have been busy being Auntie and Mema (Eliana and Dylan's name for me). We are having so much fun on the farm dancing with Eliana and her "excellent dances," searching Dylan's hats for his hidden treasures, coloring, playing in the snow, baking cookies, and just hanging out wth Rachael, Jaben, and all Clint's family.
Clint flew to Taiwan, LA, drove to Fresno and Vegas, and will be here on Christmas Eve. Colin flew from Tamsen in Zihuatinejo to Vancouver, then here. Alicia flys up from Kansas City Christmas Eve. And, the big news, Joel and Shea are getting married on Jan. 1st in Kansas City, so we all drive down the day after Christmas to be with them for the big event!
We are all so excited! And, everyone is very "hyped-up", so it is a typical high-gear Glenny time! Rachael said she was going through some shock herself because she has been removed from the crazy family whirlwind for so long that she forgot what it was like.
Hope all of you are well and enjoying this season of holidays as well. We'll write again next year! Love, Janet
