Still in Nantucket

30 June 2013 | Nantucket, MA
Foggy, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs!
Still hanging on the mooring in Nantucket! Although a lovely location and great restaurants (Peter and Suzanne found a great raw bar with salty Nantucket oysters, fried whole-belly clams, and boiled lobsters--yum!), we're now getting antsy and are ready to move on. To that end, we plan to leave tomorrow (July 1), but will take the inside route by backtracking across Nantucket Sound, through Woods Hole and then on to Onset for the night. The next day we'll transit the Cape Cod Canal, cross the bay to Provincetown where we'll stay for two nights. By that time, the seas and winds will have settled down to enable a smooth passage to Shelbourne, Nova Scotia. Too bad we'll miss July 4th celebrations in P-town, but it's time to get to Canada.
