After two wonderful relaxing days in Kapa'a with my wife Dena, I am now ready to accompany Libby to the Pacific North West. I often think that should be stated the Pacific North East! It looks like Desire will also leave today with the rest of our Aloha fleet departing over the next coupl of days. Our first "vessel under way" check in on the SSB Aloha net will be at 02:00 UTC on 8173 Khz and at 02:15 on 4417 Khz.

Our main blog is now at www.svlibby.com. Please visit for daily updates on SV Libby and her crew. I will make the odd post to Sailblogs and FaceBook. We have been very good at not just fishing for he sake of fishing although a freezer full of Mahi Mahi has been on my mind for a few days. So I decided to drop a line in this morning as we motor through the DoldrumsÉ. People pay a lot of money to catch Blue Marlin like this one which was over 6 feet long! We now consider them a nuisance fish that are getting in the way of good eating Mahi Mahi! The fight was rather good though. Video to be posted on www.svlibby.com once we make land. This one was relased and swam off sulking! I will not fish again until we head to the Marquesas.
