Sitting at the dock on the bay

We're in Annapolis waiting for the mast to be stepped and the new standing rigging to be installed. Standing rigging is the rigid stainless steel cables that hold the mast up on the boat. Ours was 21 years old the original rigging on the boat. The rigging takes a whole bunch of stress when you are sailing and if it fails really bad things happen and the next thing you know your on the Today show for all the wrong reasons. Not the reason I would want to meet Matt Lauer but then I'm more of a GMA fan.

The mast has to be removed from the boat (un-stepped) to replace the rigging. We had that done last fall and the rigging was replaced over the winter. Should be interesting to watch them raise the mast and "tune" the rigging. So right now we are sitting on the dock waiting our turn and trying to stay cool in this first heat wave of the year soon to be a sailboat again. Today's picture courtesy of M/V Quandry (Bonnie and Peter) was taken as we crossed the bay on Monday to get to the Marina that was doing the rigging work. In this photo we are definitely in power boat mode.
Vessel Name: Light Reach
Vessel Make/Model: Pacific Seacraft 37
Hailing Port: Annapolis Md
Crew: Scott and Sally and missing our CSO India the wonder Schnauzer she sails on in our hearts
Scott and Sally met in college, married and lived the average dirt dweller life for years always somewhere near the water. We fell in love with sailing in the early 90's. Summer of 2014 we both retired and became full time cruisers. [...]
