Back on Light Reach

Sally - its hot and sticky August in MD
Phew! After returning from Canada we managed to squeeze in a family picnic with my side of the family. Hosted at my brothers home (Thanks Gene and Kathy) including a fair number of the clan, 27 of us. It was so terrific to see everyone before we head out. We had a visit with Scott's mother as well, who was not impressed with the Captains new bling, as we knew she would not be. She is not a fan of the beard either but he's still her baby boy after all these years so she forgives him all the time clucking her tongue. The drive down to the boat from Syracuse was pretty uneventful and that is a blessing in itself. We arrived late in the day August 11 and were relieved to see Light Reach calmly bobbing in the water waiting for us. We have spent the last week getting things settled. We had a ton of stuff we were lugging from the apartment around with us on our journey and that had to find a home on the boat. We did manage to get in a sail over to Annapolis for the weekend, picking up a mooring in spa creek and bopping around the town for the weekend. Annapolis is always fun and on weekends in the summer is packed with people. We sailed back yesterday mostly motoring as the wind was on our nose and have settled back in at the dock. Yesterday was laundry day, today is catch up on the net. The picture was taken at the family picnic. Our contribution to the 27 in attendance.
Picture will have to wait
