Sally sunny and WARM !!
We slept in and then had coffee in bed. Such decadence ! The sun was out and the weather forecast was for temps in the 70's !! Hallelujah we had made it to Florida. Maybe we would finally be warm! During the passage it was long johns and foulies to stay warm and we slept pretty much dressed for the arctic. The task for the day was to get the massive amount of laundry done, wash down the decks of the boat, walk to the grocery store for provisions and plan our route for Tuesday . We have decided to put Light Reach in a Marina for a month and spend a month at our condo in Boynton Beach. We both need to get doctors, dentist and health care squared away. Scott especially needs to get squared with an endocrinologist. We located a Marina close to the condo that has room for us and reserved a space. It is right off the intercoastal about six miles from the condo. We'll have a car there so it should work out well. It will take us two days down the ditch to get to the marina.
Today I did five loads of wash and met some interesting folks in the laundry room . One family on a large cat has 5 children on boar, they have been out for 5 years. She home schools the children who have seen more of the world than just about anyone I have met. They are here for about a month having repairs done. The two older children have bartered themselves jobs, one mucking stalls in exchange for riding lessons and the second working at the marina. We are meeting so many interesting and friendly folks along the way. We walked about a mile or so to the plaza where the market was and picked up a few provisions. It seems there is always something that you are out of and we managed to pick up a few things we didn't need too!. There was a dollar store there too so we strolled that as well just for entertainment. Living on a boat does not lend itself to many opportunities for retail therapy. Not having a car at your disposal certainly hampers that considerably and on line shopping is just not the same! Back at the boat we watched some football, had an early supper and headed off to bed. The picture is of the Marina's restaurant decked out for Christmas.
