Sally - Warm and Wonderful just like the holidays
Merry Christmas all, may your day be filled with love, laughter, family and friends.
We've been at the Marina for a week now and some progress is being made. I've made it through the lockers in our berth, the head and the saloon. While emptying them to scrub we've also cleared out things that we have not used and are not likely to, this year at any rate. Some has gone to the trash can some to the condo. Scott has taken it on as mission to raise the waterline. We actually took some of our cold weather clothing to the condo. A bold move on our part after freezing the entire way south. The weather has been blissfully sunny and warm and we are enjoying every second of it. We walked to the condo to pick up the car our first day here. Turned out to be more of a hike than we had anticipated which was not a bad thing. It was a good way to get to know the area better. The condo was in great shape when we got there and the car started without any issues. We had a solar panel keeping a charge on the batteries and it worked beautifully. Other than clean the boat inside and out we've spent most of our time hauling stuff to the condo and finding a place to stash it, had a few lunches out, shopped for provisions, done laundry, wrestled with Healthcare.gov , had the CSO groomed and saw the latest installment of the Hunger Games movies. If you are into the Hunger Games books I recommend the movie. Pretty much what any land based person would do, we manage to not have much time to sit around. We've got a line on a primary physician, still need to make those appointments, so our task list is still long but we're knocking things off. We'll get started on that again after Christmas weekend. Today Scott has taken the car into the shop for service. The check engine light decided to make an appearance day before yesterday. Our Christmas will be a quiet one with just the three of us. The day after we will see our daughter Jessica and her family as they are flying through Ft Lauderdale on their way to Costa Rica for a vacation. We've made reservations at the same hotel where they will be spending the night before their flight out the next day. We weren't sure it would work out but are so happy it did. That will be our Christmas present. Have a very Merry Christmas everyone! Picture is the CSO in her Christmas finery. No ugly sweater for her LOL
