Sally - cool today and sunny
One of our good sailing buddies is coming for a short visit today, we haven't seen her in ages and are excited about having company ! Cleaned the boat yesterday and got the quarter berth ready. This morning I gave the head a good scrub. Her scheduled arrival was approximately 1:30. I wanted to get in a bit of time at the gym so after the cruisers net we headed into shore to let India have some leave and I headed to the gym. After a great workout and a shower we settled into the community room for reading and catching up on some videos. We kept in touch with Janet throughout the day after flying into Ft Lauderdale she took the Keys Shuttle down to Marathon. It was a slow trip down Highway 1 but she made it a couple of hours past schedule. We dinghied out to the boat got Janet settled in and discussed the dinner plans. As is often the case there were many options to choose from with it being a Saturday. We decided to go to Dockside to have dinner and listen to Fiddle Rock play. Light Reach is anchored a stones thrown away and it would be an easy dinghy ride over. We chatted listened to some good music and had a great meal. The sunset did not disappoint and was spectacular. Janet was tired from an early early morning start and a day of travel so we headed back to Light Reach. A nightcap in the cockpit and more chat and everyone was ready for bed. The picture is of the Captain and Janet at Dockside.
