Nassau ramblings

Sally Sunny and Warm
It turned out that it was a good thing we had signed on for two nights at the dock. The front was moving slower than expected and arrived around 9 AM. We were comfortably tucked into our slip. Scott worked on mounting the new running light while I worked on routes, checked on tides and took advantage of the great cell coverage. The install of the light went well. It's not as sturdy or attractive as the original but will do for now. We may replace it when we get back to the states.
There is a Fresh Market grocery within walking distance of the marina. The opposite direction from town. We walked down and explored the plaza. There is a great pharmacy, a bookstore/cafe, the market, bank and a Dominos/Dairy Queen. We had lunch there, Scott having pizza and me ice cream. Yum. We prowled through the aisles at the Fresh Mart. It was impressive and had everything you could find in the states and some you can't. The prices were not bad either. We picked up some fruit, tomatoes and eggs. We still have tons of stuff on board that we brought with us so we did not need much.
After we got back to the marina I headed to the laundry to do a couple of loads. That was another benefit of this stop, washing machines. They will be hard to come by in the out islands. It felt grand to be able to wash the sheets and towels before we really head to the Exumas. And having an empty laundry bag for a day or two is such bliss.
While not planned we really enjoyed our side trip to Nassau.
Unbelievably I took no pictures while we were in Nassau. This picture was taken off our stern while we were waiting for the Enchantment of the Seas to come in and dock.
