Settling In for a bit

31 May 2017 | Lantana Florida
Sally
We spent the last three days hauling as much stuff off the boat as we could. I want to clean all the lockers and give the interior a real scrubbing. We also want to sort through and rethink some of the things we had on board. Some of it was never used. It took multiple trips in the little car to get it all to the condo. Finding a place for it all in the condo has been a challenge. Who knew you could store so much on a 37 foot boat?? We can actually see the water line again.
We had way more provisions than we would have ever used. I think we were set for a circumnavigation without stopping!! LOL
Now that we have her sorted we can work on projects. In addition to cleaning I need to polish all the stainless and treat the cabinets and interior wood with teak oil. Scott is researching the batteries and in charge of finding a place to haul and get her bottom done. We need to get the sails taken care of as well.
We won't call the season closed until we have her hauled but for now we are land dwellers.

Scott and Sally met in college, married and lived the average dirt dweller life for years always somewhere near the water. We fell in love with sailing in the early 90's. Summer of 2014 we both retired and became full time cruisers. [...]
