Sitting on the dock on Sunset Bay

Marina life continues along it’s a very comfortable place to stay. I have begun lessons in Mah-Jong, nothing like what I played on the computer years ago. We (Sue and I) are learning the Wright-Patterson rules of play which originated at the Air Force Base of the same name. It’s a pretty complicated game with, like most pursuits, has its own lingo. With walls and curtseys and Hop Tois LOL and numerous ways of achieving the goal of the game which is to Maj-Jong! We don’t play for money and for that I am very grateful because I’d have lost the cruising kitty. I am enjoying it though and have ordered some rule books so I can study the various hands. I think a Mah Jong set will appear on my Amazon wish list.
Sharon and Gary, our Mah-Jong instructors, of the vessel S/V Gabradash have also been hosting Wednesday evening sundowners on D dock. They have traveled all over the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico in their cat. And now after 10 plus years of cruising they are selling her and swallowing the hook. It’s a great gathering of folks and we have a wonderful time clogging up the dock and swapping stories. Everyone brings a snack to share and their own cocktails. Each week the snacks become a little more elaborate as we all strive to make something extra delicious and special. We dingy pool over with Sue and Roger which is good for a few laughs of its own. The days go by quickly here.
The picture is of the dock party crew. Fine looking group of people wouldn’t you agree?
