More days at Sunset Bay

It has been an odd season on Light Reach without taking her cruising. We fell into a comfortable routine coffee in the morning, followed by chores and some shore time. We’ve had some wonderful times with the Wednesday evening dock parties and played some rousing games of Mexican Train and I’ve begun to learn how to play Mah-Jong. Spent time reading, visited with my sister and just general enjoying the mooring field and meeting the folks staying at the marina.
Today our friends Terry and Lisa from Lee Sea Ann I were here visiting by car. Terry had hoped to get to the Bahamas with their boat this year but extenuating circumstances have Lisa spending the winter up North. She was just down for a short visit. Terry had planned to sail over with a friend. They had stopped in Stuart with the boat for a couple of days before our trip to the BVI with plans to cross to West End while we were in the BVI. As in so many things with cruising, that didn’t work out. Einer (Terry’s sailing friend) became quite ill and it was apparent that he would not be able to make the trip. Lisa came down to help Terry move the boat back to Titusville where sadly they are putting her on the market. It seems so many of our friends are getting out of cruising. Terry will be here until May getting the boat ready for the market. We had a great meal with them and little Anchor their sailing dog at Luna. A fantastic Italian restaurant here in Stuart, that we really love. We talked some about the yard in Titusville where Terry has the boat with the idea of checking it out for our summer haul out. All too soon it was time to say good bye with promises of getting together this summer up in the Finger Lakes.
Alas I didn’t get a picture with Terry and Lisa. This one was taken at Hendo’s on White Bay of Scott, Janet and Paul.
