Another Good-bye

Sally, good weather for ducks
One month at the dock today. We decided to stay a second month to finish up our projects and get her ready to be hauled. We took a car load down to the condo yesterday and spent the night there. The weather has turned decidedly nasty and is supposed to be that way the remainder of the week. There is a tropical system inching its way up from the gulf which is threatening to become a depression. The rain has been pretty relentless with short intervals between downpours. With rain like this we can’t open the boat up and it becomes swamp like down below. High humidity and warm stale air make for uncomfortable sleeping. We’re going to take another load to the condo tomorrow and plan on spending the week there and let this system clear out.
We said good bye to Kevin and Janice tonight. Aria III has been put to bed for the summer and they are on their way back to Vancouver. We had a nice supper at Flanagans with them, lots of laughs and swapping of stories. We hope to cross paths with them next fall and will definitely keep in touch. We meet so many wonderful people cruising.
The picture is of Cat Tails, parked at A dock in Sunset Bay after her trip to the Bahamas. She, Aria III, and Light Reach will all be stored in the same yard this year at Indiantown Marina. One of the few yards left that will let you work on your own boat.
