Sally getting redundent
We drove to the condo yesterday with plans to spend the night in order to clean and close it today for the winter. I also needed to do laundry. After morning coffee in the cockpit we closed up the boat and were on our way. I had alsocmade an appointment to get my hair cut while we were in Boynton. It definitely needed to be cut.
They’re doing some landscaping around our building and in the process broke one of the water lines that supplies the building. There was a notice on the door saying the water would be shut off for an hour or so today around 11. That wasn’t going to help in the cleaning department but I figured we could work around it.
We still had a few things in the condo that we wanted to load on board. We spent yesterday afternoon packing those up and the captain loaded them into the car.
Today we gave the place a thorough cleaning including the oven and the fridge. It took a good part of the day as we were interrupted midday with the water shut off. I started the laundry early to make sure it was out of the washers before the shut down. With our tasks complete we headed back to the Marina aand Light Reach.
She was waiting patiently for us on her mooring. It was quite late in the day by the time we got everything unpacked, loaded onto the boat and found a place to stow it. The weather is still incredibly warm but with a breeze the mooring field is not bad and when the sun goes down the temp drops to a level that is comfortable for sleeping.
