Well, we're down to counting days and watching passageweather.com twice a day. Right now, we're looking at leaving here Wednesday (yes, three days from now!), but, that is subject to change with the weather.
We need about 24 hours to get across the Gulf Stream, heading 075 degrees. We will be wanting the winds with any southerly component as to avoid any problems in the Gulf Stream. We'll then take another 8 hours to cross the Bahamas Bank, where we will anchor near the eastern side. After an overnight stay at an anchorage, we'll go on to either Chub Cay or Morgan's Bluff to clear customs and immigration. For those of you who followed us three years ago, it is going to be pretty much the same crossing. We may have to tuck into the marina at Chub Cay if the projected front pans out. Then, we'll head to/through Nassau for an overnight at Athol Island, then on to the Exumas.
We'll keep you posted when you can start looking to follow us on Spot. Should be soon!
