Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away

Donna
"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."

Apparently, our steps are not on course for the Bahamas, at least right now. We had a good weather window to leave this morning, the provisions were plentiful and the boat was ready. 36 hours before departure, a phone call changed our plans. Thankfully, it does not involve medical issues with anyone, but, it will require us to remain in the States for at least a few weeks to be available for business questions/solutions. It may involve a trip back to Arizona for Scott. We'll know more in a week or so, but, for now, we stay here in Florida.

It is possible that we will still make it to the northern part of the Bahamas (the Abacos), but, we'll make that call later. Until then, we remain on the mooring ball in Boot Key Harbor on the island of Marathon, in the Florida Keys.

Weather has been "typical", with fronts coming down every 3-4 days. Last Friday was one of those forecasts. Thursday afternoon, we see our neighbor putting on extra lines and taking everything off their decks. She saw me on deck and called to let us know that we had just been put on a hurricane watch! It ended up being 20-25 knot winds with rain and some pretty ugly cloud formations, but, not the 50-60 knot winds that were forecast. Everyone was out on deck taking pictures of the clouds!

All is well.
