We just had time to do brief justice to the wonderful breakfast spread at the Resort, when the Red Whale driver picked us up at 6:30 for a spectacular day on the water. Unfortunately Rick was full of deep fried squid, crumbed chicken, noodles, fresh fruit… before he discovered the bacon and eggs.
With twin 250 hps and only 7 other tourists on board the Red Whale, we made it to Pulau Padar before the crowds and were walking up the rugged hills for an astonishing vista by 8:00.

The start of the stairs up to the lookout.
And up we go with the vistas getting more and more spectacular.
The Red Whale is just visible in the bay.
We made it to the top!
Marveled in the view for awhile - awesome! And then headed down.
Back past the Sydney Opera House Rock - on the left in the background!
Almost there - what a magnificent hike!
