Isla de Malpelo
22 June 2010 | Balboa, Panama
It is the morning of our 3rd day out from Panama City. In general the winds have kept up, though they switch around, causing us to tack so we are making the most headway.
We just spotted Isla de Malpelo off our port. This is a lonely collection of islands that are a part of Columbia. They should be the last land we see prior to the Galapagos.
The last several days have been pretty rough. Dana is getting acclimated to sailing, which is to say she has been moderately seasick. She took the patch and is wearing her wristbands, which are probably helping things. Mark came down with a cold and mild fever which has left him exhausted and given him the chills. He slept most of the day monday but today seems to be recovering.
