Another awesome starry night with awesome phosphorescence in the bow wake with brighter neon green dollar sized pieces floating by with 'bombs' of more neon green flashes off in the darker water surrounding Raven- very cool. More ship traffic off in the distance. Saw lights of Roca Negra.
Hailed and talked to sv Pavane who was 8nm behind us now (that we were motor sailing). Had another great day sunning and washing up on the foredeck. Saw 6 Sea Turtles - our first- some with birds standing on their backs (just floating around in the water-looked really neat). Started to see container ships coming out of Manzanillo (which is just south of Barra de Navidad). Talked to sv Sweetie in Tenacatita (north of Barra). Autopilot starting acting up (after giving up on 1st one). Anchored in bay off of Melague at 1815 hours, which turned out to be a somewhat rolly (again no sleep for me) anchorage off of the festive (read 'loud', didn't have to turn the iPod on) beach as the weeklong St. Patrick's Day celebration was starting off. Hailed sv Pavane again who showed up around 2000 hours and anchored in channel.
