We've had such a great time here in Santa Barbara; the weather has been simply wonderful. Sunny and warm every day, cooling at night. We've had friends and family with us all weekend which was so much fun. Mike, Charlene and Lindsay came Friday night and stayed until Sunday morning. We played on the beach went to for a walk on Sterns Wharf and out to dinner. Sunday my brother, Polly, Katie and Haley come down. They brought us some groceries and ran us up to the store for some heavy items we needed to pack in. Sun, friends and family!

Santa Barbara is such a friendly place we are making friends on the docks with fellow boaters. I know, quite unusual for us shy folk! We find the city very walkable and the 25cent waterfront shuttle is great for the longer trips or when we have groceries to carry. We do notice that there is a lot more homeless people. I think it is the weather that makes it a place that is comfortable for them to survive here. None have been aggressive or bothered us, it is simply our observation of them.

Today is laundry day and getting ready to head out to Santa Cruz Island tomorrow. With the hurricane coming up the coast of baja we'll have to watch the weather for it's remnants which will affect waves, swell and our choices of anchoring.
