Starting Line

The Baja HaHa has started, this is a photo of the boats after the start. It was light air so most had their spinnakers up as we also did.
They are forecasting a pretty good storm to blow in with high winds and steep seas. The Baja HaHa folks are asking people to find some where to duck into for Tuesday night as the system blows through and they will adjust the finish times to compensate for this lay over. We have decided on our boat that we are going to go into Ensenada, tie up and clear customs while here and wait for things to blow over. This will put us a bit north of most others (there are a handful of boats doing the same thing) but we decided it was better to be sitting in a cantina while things got bumpy as opposed to sitting on a rocking boat in an anchorage with 10ft swells. Of course the die hard racers in the fleet will press ahead and take their lumps but on Scott Free, we're in it for the fun so there is no reason to be in anything less than ideal.
