We spent a couple days in Puerto Escondido on a friend's mooring (free), and got caught up on a couple of chores we had to do, booked Lynsie's flight down in December and then the internet went down at the marina so we decided heck, let's head back out! We spent one night in Candeleros and then moved up to Isla Coronados which was wonderful. Unfortunately, this morning on the SSB net weather they are calling for winds to begin tomorrow out of the NW for a couple days which left us very exposed. We looked at the cruise guide and decided to head up to San Juanico which will likely be the furthest North we'll go this season. The wind isn't expected to be more than 15-20 kts but with hundreds of miles of fetch and an anchorage open to the North we decided to seek comfort.

San Juanico is a large bay with anchorages in the South, West and North open only to the East. There are lots of trails, beaches and is a very popular spot for cruisers. So far we are alone but expect with the migration of everyone from the Bay of LA up North to the south we expect at least one boat to pull in before night fall.

There is no internet or cell phone here so SSB is our means of communication for now. We just may stay here until it is time to head to La Paz to meet Mona November first.

I will post pictures on the blog once I get internet access again. We have some great one!
