We are settled back into the urban lifestyle of living in La Paz again. It took no time to remember the walking paths to the grocery stores, pharmacies and favorite taco stands. Ahhh, there is no place like home! And as Marina Palmira is our neighborhood, it is starting to get busy with the first wave of this year's Baja HaHa fleet arriving as well as returning cruisers who either went up north for the summer or who tied up the boat and went home. We've had our first dock party which is the cruisers equivalent of a block party.
It didn't take long for the guitar to come out and the entertainment to start up. No tips, but plenty of back up singers!
My sister Mona is getting settled into this lifestyle pretty quickly, we think she is having fun but she needs to get her sea legs so we have gone out a couple of times on the boat. One day trip to Balandra to make water, swim and enjoy the sun.
We took a two day trip up to Isla San Francisco, my favorite anchorage, so she could get some sleep on the boat at anchor and experience what is one of the most beautiful places here in the Sea. We hiked up on the ridge to enjoy the spectacular view and to test Mona's recovery from her vertigo. Since she made it down we've declared her cured!
After spending a few hours collecting sea shells it was time to cool off.
