Six weeks for a visit back home is just the right amount of time. We are ready to head back but not REALLY ready like we were last year. Tomorrow Lynsie and I jump on a plane heading south and Scott jumps on a boat heading north. It will be two and a half weeks before we meet up again; the longest since we’ve met almost 8 years ago.

We’ve attended two graduations, Yea Becca and Lynsie! We’ve seen most of our friends, all of our family and even met some nice new people. We’ve spent wonderful weekends with our friends the Matzdorfs; Mike and Debbie as well as spent time with our Bellingham friends. I got some good sister time and mom time. We are again very grateful to Scott’s sister and husband who keep a bedroom for us, feed us and this year hosted Lynsie’s graduation party. They are the best of people and we are blessed beyond belief at their generosity, love and kindness.

The next adventure is sure to be exciting as Lynsie and I head out without my Capitan as I assume that role. It’s pretty rare for a woman to take the boat out without the husband so I’m breaking some new ground. It will stretch me and probably give me a new appreciation for all my Scott does aboard.
