Back in the Northwest

15 September 2011 | Cloudy Cool Northwest
Monica
Our travel from the boat to Cabo and the 4 day stay at the timeshare was uneventful and very pleasant. Saturday we took the cab to the airport and each got on separate flights heading north. Scott off to Seattle and me off to Portland. Scott has been sorting through mail, visiting family and friends as well as looking at some potential investment properties. I have been with my mom and step dad. Mom had her last cataract out Monday so I’ve been driving to all the various appointments, stores etc. Pop has a doctor’s appointment today to finish out the week then Scott will drive down on Friday. He’ll visit the folks then we’ll go see daughter Sarah and future son-in-law Kyle on Saturday for dinner.

A lot of questions on why the Northwest in the winter; well, right now we had some things that needed attention and could not wait and I needed to see my mom and spend some time here with her. As for the fall and winter, well it just seems like that is how it is working out right now. We are planning on going back to the boat for 2-3 weeks in December before the holidays but with the February wedding and other business it looks like we will be mostly here until after the wedding. That is part of the joy of what we are doing, we can be flexible and travel to be where we need to be. The boat is our home in Mexico and will be waiting for us when we get things ready to leave up here again.

I probably won’t be updating the blog while up here as it would probably bore myself writing it but will post any travels we have or plans of travel so the adventure will continue.
