One week here and we are totally in the groove. All boat chores have been done and we are simply living. Today Scott and I went to the dentist to have our teeth cleaned. A wonderful woman, Martha Lorena Estrada, is our dentist here. She went to school in Guadalajara and is the most gentle dentist both Scott and I have ever been to. Both of us getting a cleaning and it is about $105. Tomorrow I go back as I have a chip in a filling and need x-rays. They don’t do x-rays as a normal part of an exam as most people can’t afford them. With my chip and a little discomfort I’m having as well as it being 4 years since my last dental x-ray it’s time.
The north wind has been blowing quite strong for the past 3 days with it forecast to subside later today. The wind has made it chilly and I even wore long pants today to walk up to the dentist.
We are having Kevan and his crew from Alex II over tonight for dinner and tomorrow night we’re having Jane’s homemade lasagna aboard Isabella. I’ve baked a chocolate cake for both nights. These are exactly the kind of days we love about being here.
