We are now preparing for the final hurrah before we pack it up and head home. Just in time I might add, or perhaps a little too late as it is forecasted to get up to 107 this week in La Paz.

We spent the last three days out at Bonanza Bay. It is a beautiful spot on the south end of Espiritu Santos Island. Lots of shells and white sand is the claim to fame here. The water is sure warming up and is probably around 80 degrees now making snorkeling possible again. It needs to clear up a bit as it is still murky clear down to about 25 feet.

My sister Mona returns to see us on her second visit since we’ve been down here. I guess that means she likes it here! We hope to spend most of her two weeks out at anchor and perhaps get her as far north as Loreto. Time will tell as it depends on weather and my work allowing me to disconnect from internet/cell coverage for that period of time. When her two weeks are up then we’ll disassemble the boat for hurricane season and head back up north for the summer. We are booked to fly out of Cabo on June 7th.

We have called this the “Lost cruising season” because we haven’t spent much time down here this year and even less time out and about exploring new places. All has not been lost however because we’ve had great times and weather. We’ve had visitors from up north and we’ve met new people down here. I guess you could say we’ve still enjoyed being “Lost”.
