Let go of me!

It seems as the departure day gets closer life tries to grab you and place a strong hold that makes you feel like you can't leave now, shouldn't leave now and how can we leave now. The latest is a phone call from our new tenants in one of our houses. "There is a leak and water is coming in through the ceiling and the ceiling is buckling". NOOOOOOO! Is how I felt when I heard that voice mail. This should not detain us as we just need to get the wheels into motion to fix the problem however it does cause us to lose a much needed day of work as we wrap up our final projects.
We are down to one car so as Scott is out dealing with the leak issue my shopping trip to provision is on hold and he is not here to try and get the blasted watermaker working. So I will refine my shopping list to make it as easy to follow as possible with the various stores I have to hit and finish getting the boat ready to head out. I have one more locker to organize and can put some things away in the aft lazerette.
We have spent the last few evenings with friends and family saying our "see you later, come see us in Mexico". No goodbyes. We will miss seeing everyone as frequent as we see them now but will always be a plane ticket away. Our girls will be the hardest and I tear up thinking about it. Their lives are all so busy with school, jobs and their social lives that they may only notice the poor cell reception but we as parents will miss them terribly. By having this adventure now we'll be home for weddings and grandbabies.
The heat has been a great test to see how our refrigeration system will hold up however as the water will be warmer down south I think we are still seeing better conditions now than we will later. I think it helps to add a bag of ice when we put a large quantity of new items in to help with the cool off and to keep it from raising the internal temp to rapidly.
So, two days to go and much excitement is building!
