Spring Boat Work

06 May 2009 | Harris Harbor
Nicki
Well, spring has certainly taken hold. We have had our annual week of dry sunny weather with surprising high temps, setting a new high for April in the 70s. Needless to say, this weather didn't go unutilized! John has been his usual manic spring self, washing and waxing the decks before removing the winter cover. Cover came off on Friday afternoon, then Saturday was spent waxing the hull and polishing stainless on deck. On Tuesday's midday high tide, we had the boat pulled at the yard and pressure washed. We then changed out the zinks and got a quick coat of paint on the bottom. Back into the water on today's high. Need to get the sails on and move over to Douglas Harbor and we will be ready for an outing.
