The oven works again! (Sometimes it's the little things)

16 March 2007
Solstice's oven has never worked properly. When we first moved aboard, we had to turn it up to the max in order to get the temperature up to 350. As a result, we tended not to use it.

John and his dad figured out what was broken, and John got the part (thermal coupler, I think) and installed it, but there was still some problem. So we didn't have an oven at all for many months. Getting it fixed was high on the list of things to accomplish when we got back to the boat. And now it's done.

In celebration, John made cornbread last night to go with the chili he also made. (In case there's anyone reading this who doesn't know, John does essentially all of the cooking and always has.)
