We're going back in the water tomorrow at 1100. John just finished waxing the hull, and Solstice looks better than we've ever seen her look. We're exhausted.

We heard from Debra and Jim Semrau on KiliLani today that they cast off their lines yesterday. They were our neighbors in Olympia. They're headed north, so maybe we'll see them. I wrote back and told them we were going to be in Vancouver, but I don't know how often they'll check for e-mail or what their sailing plans are, other than north. I know we'll see them in San Diego in the fall if we don't see them around here.

Lots of people are going to be on hand to help us get off the dock tomorrow, and it looks like we'll need them. We'll be dealing with an ebb tide in addition to the regular Fraser River current. It's nice of everyone to help. In addition to Jeff and Barry from Sceptre, Larry and Kim from Magenta said they'd come and help. Hopefully the lift will put us in the water pointing away from shore so that we don't have to try to reverse and then change direction too.
