It rained off and on all day yesterday as we motored up Jervis Inlet to get to Princess Louisa. We were early for the slack that's required to cross Malibu Rapids at the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet, so we turned off the engine and drifted for a couple of hours. It's unusual for us to be somewhere with so little current, and there wasn't much wind either. The water was certainly deep enough to be safe. So John set a radar alarm, and we relaxed.

All the way up here, John was comparing this with Tracy Arm. It's all glacial — as John says "a flooded Yosemite." (Never mind that I've never seen Yosemite.) There's no way that photos, even John's, can capture this, especially now that the sun's out.
This is a "rock fish protection area"; that means that John won't be doing any fishing here. Judging by the collection of seals at the base of the falls (Chatterbox Falls is the treasure at the end of the inlet), there are fish. There's also a warning about Lion's mane jellyfish. We'll have to look them up when we get back to the Internet.
