Still in Westport

17 August 2007
After a misunderstanding, the welder came through like a champ with the bales for the boom, and he even helped install them. We have put the boom back on the mast but still need to put the main sail back on. We have time since we've rescheduled our departure for Wednesday morning.

The wind is supposed to change back to northwesterly on Tuesday. We're giving it an extra day to be sure. Waiting also allows Steve Benson to join us. He originally planned to be able to go with us on Saturday, but the Army can't get along without him right now, so he was going to have to miss the trip. Postponing until Wednesday gives him time to get things squared away on the base.
