The mainsail is back on, we've uncovered and rigged the staysail, the water tanks are full, and Tom and Audrey are on their way to Westport to deliver Tom and help us get provisions on the boat. The sky is clearing, and although the wind hasn't quite shifted to the north yet, it's forecast to do that later today. Steve is scheduled to arrive at the boat at 0600 tomorrow. Then we'll have a fishermen's breakfast and cast off. After topping off the fuel tanks, we should reach the Grays Harbor bar right at slack and have the wind behind us all the way to San Francisco. Woohoo!

Our first call will be to April and Eric. They've invited us to Sunday barbecue if we get there in time. Mike Fitzgerald and Mary have bought a house with an Emeryville zip code, so we're looking forward to seeing them too. Jeffrey and Karan should be back in town by Monday. Caroline and Andrew are on the schedule for September 2nd. We're really looking forward to seeing everyone. It's been a long time.
