Living on the Ark

Once it again it is raining in Seattle! With no sunshine available today, projects moved from the deck to the interior. As we have moved aboard and have begun emptying the storage container into the boat we have run out of room.
I suggested a bigger boat but that idea was vetoed by the Admiral, and we began re organizing everything on the boat. We moved everything stored in the aft cabin into the under bed storage in the forward stateroom and everything stored there into the aft cabin. As the rain continued all day I began to wonder if Noah rearranged the pairs of animals? When we finished we had marginally more space and we may have room for the water maker that we plan to order. Spending thousands on a machine that makes water when it drops out of the sky for free seems all wrong but it puts a smile on Connie's face. All day we looked at items we had saved and shook our heads and said off to Good Will, or in many cases the dumpster. One strange aspect of this preparation is that as we throw things away it seems to be liberating. This is tough to explain but getting rid of things we don't need simplifies our lives. We have gone from 4 bedrooms and 2.5baths to 2 bedrooms one bath. From 2000sq ft to 250sq ft! and we are happier for it.
