We continue to be anchored at Stone Island off Mazatlan. For the second night we have had late night visitors!. A bump and then lound walking on deck disturbing our sleep. When we go on deck to investigate there is a loud squaking and a large bird takes flight. Most likely a pelican but may be something else. Wednesday morning when going on deck we saw evidence of his visit. A pile of poop a great Dane would be proud of.... A great dane who eats fish. What a stench and what a mess. This whole episode was repeated last night with one difference I chased him off at least a dozen times. This is one dumb bird coming back time after time after time... with the same deposit on the deck this morning. He doesnt seem to bother the boat during the day but only at night. I will string lines tonight to try and discourage him.
From a distance he is one of God's beautiful soaring majestic creatures but when he deposits the south end of a north bound fish processing plant it changes your attitude.
