Philos bar

Foggy in the morning
Friday night, we went into the famous Philo's Bar for pizza and some music, and also to meet Denny and Becky's friends from Puerto Vallarta.
We arrived just after 7pm and grabbed the last table, which we later shared with late commers.
This little ex pat bar and music scene has become a very popular hangout for cruisers and other gringos from the condos around PV. We marveled at the fact that we had a good time regardless of the slow kitchen and unremarkable marquiritas. We ended up sharing the table with some people from Chicago and Port Clinton Ohio we chatted with them for two hours while we waited for the pizza. In the mean time the band was great. Pilo on guitar and harmonica, a sax, drum and my personal favorite the washboard. Yes there was a man playing the washboard with great enthusiasm.
We stayed out past cruisers midnight (9pm) and went back to boat late but having enjoyed the happening scene in La Cruz.
