The dinghy thingy

sunny and warm

Connie says to me are you going to put up the "dinghy thingy" So you can see a picture of the contraption. This is part theft deterrant and part lets get the dinghy out of the water to cut down on slime growth.
This contraption consits of a spinaker pole rigged to three points, the topping lift and a bow and stern line. Then a block (pulley) attached to pole and led aft to a second block and around a winch. Then you have to rig 3 lines properly positioned in the dinghy itself to allow more or less level lifting understanding that the dinghy is stern heavy with the motor attached.
We have been planning this for some time and have pre rigged some of it but our cruising gurus Roy and Wynonna from Saucy Lady were at dinner last night and gave us a couple of pointers. So there you have it the dinghy thingy is rigged and in place. For those of you who are observant there is a line going vertical right into the water that is attached to the flopper stopper also rigged on the pole. I will bore you some other time with the flopper stopper.
