Laundry in Chamela
24 February 2011
Beautiful days cool nights
Tuesday, we left beautiful Banderas Bay and sailed overnight to Chamela about 100 miles south. We have 1000 miles to go to El Salvador which we hope to reach by May 1.
We have El Salvador on our minds as we are hearing boats that are also in the El Salvador rally on the radio nets, some of which are there or almost there.
We are moving to a rough time table but don't want to miss anything in Mexico.
Today we did the laundry in Chamela, by hand of course, in a large tub. Not wanting to waste the dirty water I ran my outboard in it to hopefully clean out the salt crystals in the cooling system. You always want to conserve water even though I make 8-9 gallons per hour when I am running the Spectra water maker. Then Connie wants to wash the deck with the result after the outboard runs in it.
