Hot during day cool at night
Well we were rolled in Chamela today...no not banditos but surf on the beach.
We inflated the two person kayak and decided to paddle ashore. We didnt take the dingy and outboard but rather got into to our swimsuits, added a dry back, left the camera and good glasses on the boat and set off to run the surf.
Now to being perfectly clear our inflatible kayak is not for surf it says so somewhere in the instructions but.... it is the only kayak we have so we waited for a few sets and then paddled on to a 4 ft wave to ride it to shore.
Everything was going well until the wave finally broke at the beach and the bow buried in the sand and we were dumped into the surf. We may never get all the sand out of our clothes but we came up laughing, walked the beach, got a soft drink, and paddled back to the boat for showers and dinner
