Barra Mud
09 March 2011 | Barra de Navidad
Warm and Sunny
We left Barra today after a week. It flew by and quite frankly we didnt do anything. We did have a dinner on board for Barbara and Tom Saul off Hooligan long time cruisers from our club. and we wandered around town and did some laundry and a few boat projects but the time flew by.
What do we do all day? Darned if I know. A boat project or two in the morning go ashore in the afternoon, dinner and a movie and reading and bed.
Thats the cruisers day and they are begining to accelerate
The picture is of pulling the anchor this morning. Some boats have elaborate anchor washdown systems complete with pumps and motors hoses and gear wired to the boat.... I have a bucket and a childs water toy called a super soaker. It works just fine. We were anchored in a small lagoon 10 ft deep with a bottom of mud.... and did I mention that the last holding tank pump out station I saw was in San Diego. So we washed the "mud" (read poo) off the chain before putting it away.
