Too shallow at the marina

Well we are in Z town but not by choice. We had planned to go into the Ixtapa marina to fuel up and make repairs but alas we were not allowed entry.
We got and left our anchorage at 9am for a 10am tide but the engine wouldnt run so we sailed in verrrrry light air and by the time we were off the marina breakwater we had missed the high tide for the day. We called in they told us 6 ft draft wouldnt make it!! Now to put some perspective on this the tide is 1.5 ft today thats how tight it is. We sailed on to Z town which is one of the anchorages I have most been waiting for. I remember Gene Brown told me it was his favorite. However we will have to figure out fuel, propane, food and how to change the fuel filter at sea (rolly boat) Also I now have whatever Connie has been down with the last few days, headaches, fatigue, nausea, D and such.
We went in to the port Capitain to check in and missed him by one minute
He says he will be open tomorrow but the door says M-F
Kokomo is still one or more days behind enjoying the surfing
We checked our stores and we dont have anymore of the engine fuel filters just the raycor in line filter... and we don't even know if that is the problem
So stayed tuned for another episode of cruising is..........fixing your boat in exotic places
