We spent 50hrs traveling along the coast from Acapulco to Huatalco.
On the moring of the last day I was on the SSB radio with some friends and was told how nice the bays along the coast leading to Huatalco were. We made a slight detour and dropped the hook in Jacaral bay just room for Kokomo and Sound Effect. For the first time since December in the Sea of Cortez we could see the anchor on the bottom in 25ft of water. Clear and just the right temperature for swimming so I cleaned the bottom of the boat.
Thursday morning we got up intending to move 2 miles to next anchorage when my engine began acting up with loss of RPM... clogged fuel filters
So we detoured to the Marina to make the change. Kokomo was our "wing man" and stayed with us to the marina.
