Yesterday afternoon our activity was an introductory Salsa dance lesson.
Arranged by the school there ended up being a dozen or so students at a Salsa studio. I talked Connie into it but it was a disaster for me.
We have been talking and traveling with all these young people and I keep thinking I am still young but the studio came with walls full of huge mirrors.
The visual facts are I am old enough to be everyone's father... what a bummer.
Secondly I apparently have two or more left feet! I could not process the complicated steps. In my defense all the instructors are male so the young chicas dance with professional and I dance with young chicas who don't know how to do the steps either. 9i was the only chico) But in full disclosure I am hopeless which is too bad because becoming an accomplished dancer has been on my bucket list for some time. There may be a glimmer of hope if I could get one on one coaching but alas the budget is on an iron lung so not right now for that check mark on the bucket list.
