Provisioning

Monday I organized a van to San Salvador. One of the hotel cooks will drive to where ever you want on Monday his day off. The van costs$100 for the day so we try to get others to go, to help defray costs... but if you have too many there is no where to go with the things we buy. Monday we had 8 which is five different boats. We went to 4 different hardware stores, a Napa auto store, a specialty battery store (7 group 27 batteries at over 50lbs each)
We also went to a fabric store, a computer repair store, a wharehouse shop(PriceSmart)and the super selector grocery store. Naturally there was lunch at a chinese restaurant and ice cream for the way home. This little jaunt took over 12 hours. The pix is partial unloading in the dark. Needless to say it was a little tight in the van on the way home. The amount of money we left in San Salvador probably rivals the foreign aid budget.
