Sound Effect is still exploring the Kuna Yala. We have been in the East Lemon Cays the last few days, snorkeling, and preparing a plan to leave for the Bay Islands of Honduras. As of the last 24 hours we have been boat bound due to high winds and rain. We have been reviewing weather windows using "grib" files that are sent via the SSB radio. The problem is that they are not reviewed by a weather man but simply computer models. Right now they appear to be wrong as we are experiencing 20-25 kts of wind from the west which has kept us on the boat. The forecast I have is for less than 10 so I am consulting with others nearby for their information. We plan to return to Portobello about 50 miles back down the coast for fuel, propane, food and internet before we check out and leave for Provedencia, Roatan, and the Rio Dulce.
