Sunday Nov 13, we raised anchor this morning a bid Adios to Kokomo. Sound Effect is traveling back to Portobelo for diesel, gas, propane, food, and an exit visa from Panama. We will strike out for Provedencia, and the Bay islands of Honduras at the end of the week if plans stay on track.
Kokomo has elected to spend the next 4-5 months in Kuna Yala and return to Tacoma in March for a visit while leaving their boat on a mooring ball in the West Lemons.
They are enjoying the laid back atmosphere of the cruiser community, but Sound Effect has wanderlust and is leaving Panama before the stronger "Christmas Winds" set in . We hope to get around the shoulder of Central America and into the lee of the Bay Islands of Honduras for Christmas.
We have had a great run of over one complete year with Kokomo enjoying Mexico, and Central America together. The help and companionship have been exceptional we will miss them. But alas plans will begin immediately for a reunion possibly in Carribbean Mexico or along the ICW in the states.
