St. Agustine
24 February 2018 | St. Augustine
Mostly sunny, some rain showers, some mosquitos
We spent 3 days in St. Agustine, it was a fun place to be with all the history, places to walk, things to do and see. It claims to be the oldest city in the US, founded in the 1500's. It is very tourist-oriented.
We rented a car and headed to Cape Canaveral to drop off the life raft for inspection and repack. They opened it up for us, giving an insight into what is in the raft, how to use it, what to expect. Highly recommended for anyone who owns or may use a life raft! Also met up with a friend of the prior owner and learned a few more tips on the boat. The car also supported grocery shopping and enjoying a break from the boating life for a few hours:)
We met up with Kam's relatives from Jacksonville, it was fun to get a locals perspective and learn more about the area.
We're off to places south now. We spent the night just off the ICW, behind a shallow water buoy. Now the fisherman and Saturday warriors are on the water so it's time to get under way.
