Still at Canaveral

08 March 2018 | Cape Canaveral
Sunny, Windy, Calm, Warm, Coldish
As the title says - We're still at Cape Canaveral, checking off items on the 'To Do' list, with a few more popping up along the way:) The life raft was inspected, and we got to see it inflated and learn about how to use it (hopefully never!). Lifeline Services gave us a mini training course, showed us the contents and outlined Do's and Don'ts. We added a PLB as well, which means we now have 3 on board (maybe one will work if we ever need one...).

We had a visit from Kam's relative Paul, who made himself useful splicing lines and reviewing medical kits - Volunteers are always appreciated!

The list grew bigger last night with the demise of the main AC circuit breaker, which of course is European and no longer in production. Another project... sigh.

We woke up at 12:30am a couple of mornings ago to see another rocket launch, another SpaceX. Coincidently with a GOES weather satellite that will be providing us with enhanced weather when we reach the Pacific Ocean.

Several times a day we hear the life boat drills from the cruise ships - Across the water way is the main cruise ship terminal for Disneyworld, with multiple ships/lines in port at any time and changing daily. Amazing to watch these ships move in and out of the narrow canal without tugs.

So it's back to steam cleaning interior cushions, washing laundry, determining why the HF radio doesn't receive, finding some anchor chain, work on the water maker, and the rest of the long list of 'fun?' projects!
